About the job
What Will You Contribute?
VluchtelingenWerk plays a crucial role in assisting status holders with their integration, self-reliance, and participation in Dutch society. Language can often pose a barrier, as many status holders are still mastering the Dutch language.
As an interpreter, you will bridge this language gap, ensuring that clients receive explanations in their native language about how systems work in the Netherlands. Your role will facilitate smooth conversations between clients and social workers, contributing to a better understanding and successful integration.
What Will You Do?
- As an interpreter, you will be present (remotely) during conversations with status holders.
- You will translate as accurately and carefully as possible what is being said from Dutch to the client’s mother tongue and vice versa.
- Your efforts will enable better understanding and collaboration between guides and clients as they embark on a new beginning in the Netherlands.
