Manufacturing Process Engineer
Location: Mexico
Key Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer at Fictiv, you will play a pivotal role in developing and refining manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. This position will support new product introductions (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating across teams to meet production, quality, and delivery objectives.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and optimizing manufacturing and assembly processes for enhanced efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Leading production line design, layout development, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
- Supporting APQP activities, including the creation of process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans, and launch readiness.
- Preparing and submitting PPAP documentation in collaboration with Quality and Customer teams.
- Pursuing Lean Manufacturing initiatives focused on waste reduction, standard work, kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement.
- Assisting with basic automation solutions, including fixtures, poka-yokes, and semi-automated processes.
- Interfacing with PLC-controlled equipment and applying basic troubleshooting and process optimization techniques.
