Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair various systems, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition and electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems according to specifications.
- Perform the job duties of lower-tier technicians (Technician A, Technician B, Mechanic, General Service Technician).
- Convey technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including employees and customers, as needed.
- Continuously expand your technical knowledge and skills through formal training sessions to keep pace with rapidly evolving automotive technology.
- Support fellow technicians and mechanics in executing technical tasks.
- Keep management informed about mechanical repair challenges as they arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This role is pivotal in setting the pace and tone in the shop, fostering a collaborative team dynamic. We seek individuals who exhibit high motivation, energy, and a strong customer-focused mindset. To qualify, you should possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 5 years of robust experience in automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair.
- 8 or more ASE certifications are preferred (A1 through A8).
- Section 609 Certification is required.
- A state inspection license, if applicable.
- A valid driver's license.
- Successful completion of a drug screening.
- Willingness to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as necessary.
