DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The GILLIG Engineering team is dedicated to developing, customizing, and configuring our clean technology heavy-duty transit buses. Our mission is to create the most reliable buses that connect communities, ease congestion, and support a greener planet. Our engineers are actively involved in the design, analysis, testing, launch, and problem-solving across various technical domains.
The Mechanical Engineering team focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and components, including chassis, HVAC systems, interior layouts, and powertrain integration to ensure safety, durability, and performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to meet regulatory standards, troubleshoot production issues, and deliver cost-effective, efficient designs tailored to heavy-duty transit buses.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to assist and support senior engineers in various aspects of transit bus design, focusing on the design and industrialization of components for our continuously evolving product line. The Mechanical Engineer will influence design decisions at the vehicle, system, and component levels, collaborating with more experienced engineers. Responsibilities include engineering support, design analysis, and participation in the development process.
