Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Design, integrate, and test mechanical systems for aircraft, including flight controls, landing gear, fuel systems, and other subsystems.
Generate detailed CAD models, assemblies, and installation drawings.
Implement design for manufacturability (DFM) principles to facilitate the rapid scaling of mechanical systems and assemblies.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for mass production.
Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and testing of mechanical subsystems.
Conduct engineering analyses and document and present findings effectively.
Assist in testing and troubleshooting during prototype assembly, integration, and flight operations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
7+ years of mechanical design and integration experience.
Proficient in CAD, with a preference for NX.
Familiarity with PLM systems, such as Teamcenter or equivalent.
Solid understanding of GD&T, drafting standards, and structural analysis fundamentals.
Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, and composite processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace, defense, or UAV programs.
Background in actuation systems, landing gear design, fuel, or hydraulic systems.
Familiarity with additive manufacturing techniques.
Lifecycle experience from concept through to production.

You will manage projects from concept through flight testing, ensuring that all designs are optimized for peak performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
