Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with physicists and engineers throughout the mechanical design process, from initial concept to production.Design and develop hardware components for both established and innovative quantum devices.Integrate optical mounts, laser packaging, and electromechanical assemblies.Assemble ultra-high vacuum (UHV) components and establish testing mounts.Oversee drawings and manage component procurement.Test and document the assembly of custom parts.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. export control laws.Comfort in laboratory settings is essential.Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.Meticulous attention to detail in all engineering tasks.
