Mediator for Youth Services in Dublin
We are seeking a dedicated Mediator to provide essential support to young individuals facing homelessness due to family conflicts or disputes with their primary caregivers. This full-time role is focused on delivering a mediation service that aims to resolve conflicts and prevent homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate mediation for young people in emergency accommodation due to family conflicts.
Assist young individuals referred by local social work teams to address conflicts that may lead to homelessness.
Provide mediation services in various scenarios involving family conflicts, promoting resolution to reduce homelessness risk.
Manage a caseload effectively, adhering to best practices and evidence-based frameworks.
Maintain regular communication with Tusla social workers regarding case updates and emerging issues.
Prepare and deliver written progress reports to referring social workers.
Submit monthly reports to the Head of Youth Services at Focus Ireland.
Engage in formal supervision sessions with the Head of Youth Services on a regular basis.
Keep accurate, confidential case notes and records of the work undertaken.
Collaborate closely with other Focus Ireland services as needed.
Participate in relevant training and development initiatives, as well as project evaluations.
Work with Focus Ireland’s research and development team to assess the service's outcomes against key performance indicators.
