About Us
At Simile, we believe that critical decisions should not be made without simulation. Just as pilots train without real passengers and surgeons practice without real patients, we advocate for a more responsible approach to decision-making in our society. Our innovative AI simulation of societal dynamics is driven by generative agents that reflect real human behavior. We are at the forefront of AI-based simulation, developing a Foundation Model capable of predicting human behavior across various scenarios and scales.
With robust backing of $100 million from top-tier investors including Index Ventures, Hanabi, A*, and Bain Capital Ventures, we are on a mission to redefine how human behavior is modeled.
Role Overview
As a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) in Research at Simile, you will engage in comprehensive training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring of our human behavior models. We pride ourselves on maintaining a rigorous research-to-product pipeline, ensuring our experimental methodologies are reliable for production systems that inform high-stakes decisions.
We seek passionate researchers eager to push boundaries and see their work impact real-world applications. You will take ownership of the entire research cycle, from designing experiments to deploying models effectively.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Architecting Foundation Data Schemas: Lead a significant redesign of our data architecture, redefining schemas across various databases to enhance system functionality.
- Optimizing Computational Performance: Refactor algorithms for internal data pipelines, resolving performance bottlenecks to facilitate efficient large-scale model training.
- Mastering Hardware & Infrastructure: Architect and manage end-to-end infrastructure, writing high-performance code for NVIDIA chips, ensuring seamless data ingestion and efficient training workflows.
- Engineering Scientific Evaluations: Develop advanced evaluation tools that exceed standard benchmarks to ensure the integrity of our models.
