Job Objectives and Purpose:
The Trainee Miller will receive hands-on training and mentorship to effectively support and ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of milling equipment, transforming raw materials into high-quality wheat and maize products.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Shadow experienced Shift Millers to gain proficiency in wheat and maize milling operations.
2. Collaborate with the team to ensure that daily production aligns with quality and food safety standards.
3. Assist in achieving production targets while minimizing changeover losses.
4. Support the accurate and timely documentation of production data for each shift.
5. Evaluate roll feed and sifter streams daily, recording break releases consistently.
6. Monitor cleaning house equipment to confirm optimal operation and prevent loss of millable grain.
7. Collect samples per QA protocols and review QA analysis to maintain product specifications.
8. Uphold 5S standards to promote a clean and safe work environment.
9. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP quality standards.
10. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
11. Participate in process improvement initiatives (Kaizen Blitz) to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
