Position Objective
The Mobile Integration Center (MIC) Quality Control Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining the quality standards of the MIC Department, striving for an exceptional quality score of over 99%. This position involves a thorough understanding of customer requirements and ensuring our policies align with those needs. The Quality Control Manager will collaborate closely with MIC Staging Managers to support streamlined workflows and uphold Stratix's quality control standards.
To excel in this role, the Quality Control Manager must possess outstanding communication and listening skills, along with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities. A foundational knowledge of regulatory compliance and the ability to interpret scientific and technical data is crucial. The Quality Control Manager will also identify opportunities for additional quality checkpoints, recommending updates and improvements to processes in collaboration with Team Leads and Supervisors. Furthermore, the Quality Manager will capture relevant data and generate metrics related to the performance of the Quality Control team at Stratix.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the MIC Audit, MIC Tech Support, and MIC First Article Review processes.
- Innovate and implement improvements to enhance production processes for higher quality outcomes.
- Manage the First Article review and approval processes for new projects.
- Guide and mentor MIC team members, ensuring alignment with departmental quality objectives.
- Compile and analyze quality data to prepare insightful reports.
- Communicate with other department managers/directors to propose solutions that mitigate production issues.
- Assess quality metrics, diagnose root causes, and enforce corrective actions to eliminate inefficiencies.
- Demonstrate leadership by maintaining a strong presence on the production floor and a comprehensive understanding of MIC operations.
- Collaborate with fellow MIC managers to swiftly address operational challenges.
- Facilitate training and development for the MIC team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
- Perform additional duties and strategic initiatives as assigned.
