Position Summary
The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Manager for the Democratic Republic of Congo plays a pivotal role in ensuring that VillageReach’s initiatives yield measurable, equitable, and sustainable impacts. This position leads the strategic application of data, learning, and evidence to support informed decision-making, enhance program performance, and reinforce accountability to both government and donors. By integrating learning and adaptive management throughout the program portfolio, the M&E Manager actively supports VillageReach’s strategic objectives of reaching underserved populations and bolstering resilient health systems in the DRC.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, among others that may be assigned as necessary.
1. Strategic Data Leadership
• Provide strategic direction for monitoring, evaluation, and learning across VillageReach’s DRC portfolio, aligning with organizational goals and national health strategies.
• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making by translating complex datasets into practical insights for program teams and leadership.
• Assist program leaders in identifying performance trends, program deficiencies, and areas for improvement through robust data analysis.
• Contribute to the formulation and execution of the country M&E strategy, ensuring consistency in indicators and monitoring methodologies across various projects.
2. Monitoring and Data Systems
• Collaborate with program teams and stakeholders to establish program M&E plans, including the development of quantitative and qualitative data collection methodologies, tools, and data management systems.
• Supervise routine data collection processes to guarantee timely and precise data capture through effective systems.
• Ensure data integrity through regular verification, cleansing, and validation processes.
