Our flagship product, the Airborne Tactical Augmented Reality System (ATARS), empowers pilots to engage in realistic training scenarios, effectively simulating the cognitive challenges of flying in dynamic outdoor environments.The RoleWe are on the lookout for a talented Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development, integration, and verification of the ATARS throughout its entire product lifecycle. Your contributions will encompass requirements development, architecture definition, interface management, hardware/software integration, and facilitating formal design milestone reviews. You will work collaboratively across various teams including hardware, software, optics, testing, and airworthiness, ensuring our systems meet technical performance standards, compliance, and mission readiness.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, decompose, and manage system and subsystem requirements utilizing approved requirements management tools.Establish and uphold the Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM) to ensure bidirectional traceability from system requirements through to verification artifacts.Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for both internal and external system integrations (including hardware, software, avionics, and platform interfaces).Lead and facilitate design milestone reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, and SVR.Employ Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies (SysML) to construct system architectures, functional decompositions, use cases, and interface models.Conduct trade studies and technical analyses to inform design decisions and optimize performance.Oversee allocations of weight, power, and other system resources across components.Coordinate and supervise system integration and verification activities in both laboratory and aircraft environments.Identify and manage technical risks, ensuring that mitigation strategies are in place.Serve as a technical point of contact among internal teams and external partners to guarantee alignment on system design and performance expectations.
