Master of Science degree in Nursing.
Current licensure in Iowa as a Registered Nurse.
A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities, particularly in relation to the teaching-learning process.
Proven experience in enhancing student learning and teaching excellence.
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with the community college philosophy and understanding of community college students.
Experience with alternative learning delivery methods.
Commitment to promoting cultural diversity within the student body, faculty, and curriculum.
Experience in delivering technology-enhanced laboratory simulations.
Proficiency in common software applications and internet usage.
A track record of successful teaching experience.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursing Instructor to join our dynamic team at Western Iowa Tech Community College. This full-time position involves teaching Nursing and related courses, with responsibilities including classroom management, conducting laboratory sessions, developing and restructuring curriculum, participating in committee assignments, advising students academically, and assisting with student recruitment. Candidates will be required to conduct a teaching demonstration during the interview process.
This position is a 176-day instructional role operating from August to May, with summers off. There is potential for a continuing contract status subject to Board approval and funding. Teaching assignments may vary and could occur at different times (days, evenings, weekends) and through various modes of instruction (in-person, hybrid, online). Opportunities to teach during the summer semester may also be available. Compensation is based on education and experience, with an attractive benefits package including health and dental insurance, long-term disability and life insurance, paid personal leave, sick leave, holidays, a tuition waiver, and retirement benefits.
