Position: Occupational Therapist

Overview: As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide both direct and consultative services to students, aiming to alleviate disabilities associated with occupational therapy needs, enabling them to fully engage in educational programs offered by the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions aligned with therapeutic objectives outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
- Formulate, execute, and assess IEPs and Multidisciplinary Evaluation Teams (METs) for students requiring occupational therapy services.
- Participate actively in Child Study Team (CST), Section 504, MET, and IEP meetings.
- Consult with educators, parents, and relevant agencies concerning student requirements, progress, and adjustments in instruction.
- Conduct comprehensive screenings, assessments, and diagnoses of therapeutic needs.
- Create and record treatment strategies or protocols.
- Evaluate student progress and readiness for the conclusion of therapy services.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to develop classroom activities that enhance sensory and motor skills.
- Attend and contribute to scheduled occupational therapy meetings.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required.
- Perform maintenance checks on therapy equipment.
- Gather data for ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all Federal and State policies.
- Serve as a positive role model and uphold the mission of the school district.
- Foster effective communication with supervisors.
- Follow district regulations and guidelines.
- Engage professionally with colleagues, students, and parents regarding therapy objectives and requirements.
- Exhibit professional, ethical, and responsible behavior.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
- Eligibility for telecommuting as needed.
