About Amber
Amber represents a revolutionary approach to purchasing and selling electricity, tailored for a future powered by renewable energy. We offer customers direct access to real-time wholesale electricity prices that fluctuate every 5 minutes, along with the technology to optimize their energy consumption during periods of lower renewable availability. This innovation not only provides a cost-effective method for purchasing power but also facilitates the transition to 100% renewable energy in Australia.
As a leading entity in Australia for home battery automation, we are experiencing rapid growth with over 68,000 customers. Furthermore, we have recently expanded our licensing of core technology to international utilities, including a notable partnership with E.ON Next in the UK.
Amber is supported by esteemed investors from Australia and around the globe, including Square Peg, Main Sequence, Breakthrough Victoria, Commonwealth Bank, NRMA, Gentrack, and ETF Partners from the UK and Europe.
We are expanding quickly and you will be joining a team of over 180 individuals dedicated to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and purpose-driven culture as we transform a significant industry.
Our innovative products are reshaping home energy consumption: Amber for Batteries reduces costs by allowing users to sell stored energy at wholesale prices of up to $19/kWh, while Amber for EVs ensures the most economical and environmentally friendly charging solutions. By 2025, we will enhance this further with our upcoming vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology.
