Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with all Baystate Interpreters, Inc. policies regarding information security and confidentiality, including HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and other relevant regulations.
- Provide accurate on-site interpretation between English and the designated target languages.
- Follow established interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Baystate Interpreters, Inc. and its clients.
- Adhere to ethical standards set by the IMIA, NCIHC, ATA, NAJIT, and ISO, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, impartiality, professionalism, and cultural competence in every assignment.
- Foster positive, professional relationships with patients, clients, healthcare providers, and clinical staff.
- Continuously expand your specialized vocabulary and subject matter expertise (e.g., medical, legal, social services) to meet client needs effectively.
- Exhibit professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality throughout the interpretation process.
