About the job
Important to Note: We are looking for someone to support us in this role for at least one year. This can be in employment or as an interim / freelancer.
You lead from the ground, not from your desk. You are a connector between people, processes, and practice.
Are you a calm and stable leader who prefers to be in the midst of the team? As the operational manager, you serve as the link between the office and the work floor. You guide with an eye for both people and processes, ensuring everyone knows their responsibilities. There’s no hierarchical nonsense, but a genuine commitment to collaboratively build improvements. You wear work shoes, engage with both technicians and management, and are aware of what is happening. With your calm approach and long-term vision, you provide direction and confidence.
Your Responsibilities:
As the operational manager, you will lead the teams on the work floor, comprising around 35 FTE. You will be physically present among the team, understanding their challenges and serving as the first point of contact for questions, issues, or improvements.
- Be present daily on the work floor.
- Lead the operation with a focus on collaboration and development.
- Bridge the gap between the office and execution—keeping lines short and communication open.
- Encourage process improvements, focusing on feasibility and support.
- Translate long-term goals into actionable steps on the work floor.
- Lead with a people-oriented approach, allowing space for initiative and growth.
You are visible, approachable, and know how to bring calm and structure to a dynamic environment.
