As an Operations Finance Analyst, your main responsibilities will center on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for our Operations and Product activities. You will not just report on past outcomes but will provide stakeholders with insights into the reasons behind those outcomes, their implications, and recommended actions. Your expertise will be pivotal in championing zero-based budgeting and driver-based forecasting, ensuring that our financial plans reflect operational realities rather than historical patterns.
Additionally, you will assist in evaluating new product introduction projects and operational efficiency initiatives, providing essential financial analysis and governance that supports informed investment decisions.
This role is situated at the nexus of finance and operations, demanding both analytical precision and the ability to convey insights clearly to stakeholders. By collaborating with the Operations Accountant on month-end tasks, you will gain a profound understanding of the accounting principles that inform your analyses. You will be empowered to challenge assumptions, pose difficult questions, and enhance decision-making through advanced financial analysis.
A significant aspect of your role will involve collaborating with the Data & Analytics team in IT and the Purchase Ledger team to ensure efficient data capture and reliable automation workflows. This collaboration will enable you to focus on delivering value through analysis and insights instead of spending time on data transformation.
