Qualifications
Professional Experience:• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent• Several years of experience in thermal treatment/hardening processes• Extensive experience in nitriding and nitrocarburizing processes• Familiarity with quality tools (PFMEA, 8D, SPC)• Knowledge of metallography and material testing• Languages: Good proficiency in English.Personal Competencies:• Leadership capability and a sense of responsibility• Analytical and structured work approach• Strong problem-solving skills• Intercultural communication abilities• High level of accountability and commitment

As the Operations Leader for the Thermal Treatment Group, you will play a pivotal role in leading and advancing the metallurgical laboratory and the thermal treatment team. You will be primarily responsible for the gas nitrocarburizing process. This role ensures a stable, efficient production process that adheres to standards while promoting technical excellence, continuous improvement, and structured problem-solving.
In your capacity as the process owner, you will oversee the development, validation, and optimization of the process while ensuring the accuracy of technical documentation and compliance with safety, quality, and customer requirements. You will provide daily operational guidance, assist in solving complex issues, and drive improvements in first-pass yield, cycle time, and overall efficiency.
Additionally, you will manage engineering changes, oversee laboratory responsibilities, and engage in cross-functional collaboration, including supplier qualification and audits, to ensure sustainable manufacturing performance.
