About the job
We are thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity for a proactive Operations Supervisor specializing in Healthcare Billing to lead daily operations in Billing and Customer Service. This role is pivotal in driving accountability, structure, and consistency within a rapidly expanding startup. You will collaborate closely with leadership to enhance operational stability and foster scalable growth.
Company Overview:
Our client is a premier platform that connects Nurse Practitioners (NPs) with collaborating physicians throughout the United States. Their innovative service simplifies the often-complex process, allowing NPs to efficiently and confidently find physicians to fulfill state requirements and successfully launch their practices.
As a profitable, founder-led company, they are experiencing rapid growth, currently supporting over 1,300 active providers across the U.S. This presents a remarkable opportunity for meaningful impact within the healthcare sector.
Role Overview:
The Operations Supervisor is a crucial frontline leadership position within the Operations department, reporting directly to the Director of Operations. This individual will manage the Billing team and Customer Service Representatives, acting as the essential link between daily operations and senior oversight. The position is designed to instill structure, accountability, and efficient execution throughout the department, ensuring operational tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
This hands-on supervisory role requires someone adept at managing personnel while ensuring effective execution. Responsibilities include overseeing daily workflows, monitoring adherence to processes, assigning and tracking task ownership, resolving immediate issues, and serving as the initial escalation point for team inquiries and customer-related challenges. Furthermore, you will work closely with the Director of Operations to design workflows, improve processes, and enhance systems, while also collaborating with the Quality & Training Lead to identify training needs and address quality gaps.
To excel in this position, you must demonstrate strong leadership presence, maintain high operational discipline, and adapt to a fast-paced service environment. Your ability to transform loosely defined tasks into well-structured, repeatable systems will be invaluable. By taking ownership of daily operations and team management, you will enable the Director of Operations to concentrate on strategic initiatives and cross-functional improvements. Importantly, you will serve as the primary representative for the Operations team in the absence of the Director of Operations.
