Join our dynamic team as an Application Solution Engineer (ASE), where you will play a vital role in the global implementation of Oracle Fusion ERP. This position is crucial for crafting, configuring, and executing scalable ERP solutions that meet both global business processes and local compliance requirements.
As a member of the Corporate Information Technology team, you will act as a senior techno-functional expert, ensuring seamless end-to-end alignment across SGS’s corporate IT applications. Your collaboration with business stakeholders will be essential in defining high-level requirements, anticipating system challenges, and guiding the design and delivery of effective solutions.
Your responsibilities will include standardizing solutions to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and compliant with SGS guidelines and industry best practices. You will supervise software development activities, validate effort estimates, review proposals from third parties, and coordinate various development phases.
Working in close partnership with the Enterprise Architecture team, you will ensure that all technical designs, whether developed internally or externally, adhere to SGS’s quality, security, and architectural standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Architecture
- Facilitate solution design reviews to guarantee the technical feasibility of the global ERP template, leveraging the capabilities of Oracle Fusion ERP.
- Collaborate with architects and implementation teams to meet solution requirements.
- Apply SGS Enterprise Architecture and Security standards to ensure compliance, scalability, and design quality.
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Engage with Global Process Owners and IT stakeholders to gather business requirements and ensure strategic alignment.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis between standard Oracle functionality and business needs.
- Convert business needs into technical solutions and validate techno-functional documentation, frameworks, and strategies.
Build & Setup
- Create and optimize reporting solutions using OTBI and BI Publisher.
- Review and validate technical designs for all application development initiatives.
Integration & Data Migration
- Establish integration strategies and oversee REST/SOAP API or middleware implementations.
- Manage data migration activities using FBDI/ADFDi templates to ensure data integrity.
- Analyze and enhance data models and system architecture for improved performance and reliability.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Prepare and execute test plans for SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
- Validate technical impact assessments and resolve defects efficiently.
Security & Compliance
- Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
