LEAP Program Overview
Global Solutions Ventures (GSV), a joint-venture between ZemiTek, LLC and Dexis Consulting Group, is executing the Long-term Exceptional Technical Assistance Project (LEAP Global). Initially developed by USAID to combat infectious diseases such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, neglected tropical diseases, and pandemic influenza, LEAP Global transitioned to the U.S. Department of State (DOS) on July 1, 2025. This initiative aims to tackle the intricate human resource challenges faced by national infectious disease programs in countries supported by the U.S.
LEAP Global's approach involves hiring and integrating technical expert advisors and subject matter experts within government entities, providing sustainable, lifesaving support that empowers host governments to manage crucial aspects of their infectious disease portfolios while enhancing coordination between the U.S. Government and the host nations.
Position Overview
The Outbreak Prevention and Response Officer will play a pivotal role in Haiti's efforts to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious disease threats. This role aligns with the U.S. Department of State’s America First Global Health Strategy and Global Health Security priorities, delivering life-saving humanitarian assistance (LHA) services in accordance with the latest Presidential Executive Order (EO) directives. The officer will enhance multisectoral collaboration and integrate polyvalent community health workers in surveillance, early warning systems, and community resilience initiatives.
