Role Summary:
This role is pivotal in cultivating and sustaining customer relationships to drive sales of lumber and building materials. Key responsibilities encompass identifying and fostering new business opportunities, preparing quotes and proposals, and delivering expert guidance on materials, pricing, and applications. Frequent customer site visits, project progress tracking, and ensuring timely product delivery are essential aspects of this position. Success hinges on a solid understanding of the lumber industry, building processes, and local regulations, combined with exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Candidates should demonstrate a strong motivation, customer-centric focus, and capability to manage multiple projects while achieving sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture relationships with current and prospective customers through in-person and phone interactions, ensuring the completion of plan take-offs, bids, and quotes while addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Proactively manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and order tracking within BisTrack.
- Prepare and present precise sales proposals and quotes to prospective or existing clients.
- Enhance sales volume in existing market areas.
- Deliver knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service to clients at all times.
- Research and provide accurate information to customers regarding suitable materials, pricing, and technical specifications.
