As a Part-Time Cook reporting to the Chef Manager, you will play a key role in the timely and proper preparation of meals, encompassing food service, safety, and the supervision of kitchen staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Consistently maintaining a clean kitchen and food storage areas.
- Preparing high-quality, nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) in accordance with client schedules, menu plans, and budgetary constraints.
- Being adaptable and responsive to client needs and food preferences.
- Complying with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Safe Food Handling/Health Unit standards.
- Following all applicable Dexterra and hospital policies and procedures.
- Managing inventory effectively.
- Keeping accurate, signed records of meals served.
