Join our dedicated team as a Part-Time Environmental Services Project Technician, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our hospital environment. This position requires you to work 4 shifts of 8 hours each, totaling 32 hours per week, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating weekends.
The Environmental Services Project Technician supports Northwestern Medicine's mission by ensuring that our facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Your responsibilities will include a wide range of cleaning and servicing tasks to keep the hospital orderly and sanitary. You'll work on various projects such as hard surface and carpet care, wall washing, and hanging cubicle curtains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform restoration and maintenance procedures for hard surface floors, including stripping, scrubbing, applying finishes, and burnishing.
- Execute cleaning procedures on soft surface floors, including vacuuming, damp buffing, hot water extraction, and spot extraction.
- Engage in various projects like upholstery cleaning, wall washing, and light cleaning tasks.
- Complete the Altrapure disinfecting process in patient rooms, surgical suites, and other clinical areas.
- Manage room assignments, setup, equipment operations, and breakdown, while demonstrating proficient technical knowledge of department equipment and safety protocols.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety measures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with duties of other environmental services roles as needed.
