The Lead Steward & Utility Worker position at JRTC is an essential role within the Food & Beverage team, providing hands-on leadership and support to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen and dining environment. This role is pivotal in coordinating daily activities such as dishwashing, sanitation, equipment maintenance, and supply distribution. While this is not a supervisory position, the Lead serves as the primary contact for the stewarding team during shifts, facilitating communication with the Chef Manager and ensuring that all operations run seamlessly for dining, catering, and concessions services.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead by example in stewarding and utility tasks, establishing high work standards and pace.
Act as the liaison for the stewarding team during shifts, communicating needs and updates to the Chef Manager.
Assist in the onboarding and training of new stewarding staff, focusing on proper cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Help maintain organization and focus among team members on assigned tasks.
Cleaning & Sanitation Duties:
Efficiently wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and trays using commercial dishwashing machines and sinks.
