Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of employment.Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Exceptional interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.Strong analytical skills.Additional Requirements for Emergency Room:ACLS certification.PALS/ENPC and TNCC certification within one year of hire.Additional Requirements for Pediatric Emergency Room:Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.TNCC certification within one year of hire.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a specific clinical area.Additional Preferences for Emergency Room and Pediatric Emergency Room:Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) certification.Emergency Communications Registered Nurse (ECRN) certification.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to acutely ill patients, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Engage effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members in alignment with ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
- Collect and analyze patient data, identify expected outcomes, and develop personalized care plans that are regularly evaluated.
- Direct care activities and optimize the utilization of nursing assistants involved in patient care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to create documented care plans focused on achieving positive outcomes.
- Participate in shared governance and contribute to committee work and unit projects.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions accurately and adjust care plans based on evaluations.
- Incorporate evidence-based practices to guide clinical decisions.
