Key Responsibilities:Conduct evaluations of students’ gross motor skills, mobility, balance, posture, and physical functioning as they relate to educational needs.Create and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans within students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Provide direct physical therapy services to students in various school settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and gyms.Collaborate with teachers and related service professionals to meet student goals.Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.Train school staff on techniques to assist students with mobility and positioning needs.Recommend adaptive equipment and modifications to enhance participation and safety in school activities.Document and monitor students’ progress toward therapy goals.Ensure adherence to school district policies regarding physical therapy services.Foster a positive workplace culture to enhance team morale.
