About the job
The Micro:bit Educational Foundation is an innovative global nonprofit organization based in the UK, dedicated to transforming education through digital technology. Our mission is to ignite creativity in every child, empowering them to shape their digital futures with the help of the BBC micro:bit and our diverse range of educational tools and software.
Since our impactful launch in 2016, where we distributed one million micro:bits to all secondary schools in the UK, we have expanded our reach to 90% of primary schools across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Our ongoing commitment involves collaborating with key partners to eliminate barriers and create equitable opportunities for digital learning and creativity.
We are looking for a Partnerships Manager based in the UK to enhance and expand our partnerships across the region. You will spearhead engagement with our extensive network of national and community partners, fostering collaboration, facilitating impactful communication, and uncovering opportunities to integrate micro:bits into classroom instruction and extracurricular activities. This vital non-commercial role will elevate the Foundation’s presence and showcase its contributions across all four UK nations.
This position is part-time at 0.8 FTE, fixed for 18 months, with potential for extension. The role is primarily remote, with travel across the UK required at least once a month and participation in in-person Foundation meet-ups two to three times a year, along with some smaller team gatherings as necessary.
