About the Team and Position
The Parts Manager for Dealership Operations plays a critical role in driving the success of our dealership's parts business as well as managing overall facility operations. This leadership position involves overseeing a team of up to 40 members, focusing on enhancing customer satisfaction, driving profit growth, ensuring compliance, and achieving operational excellence throughout the dealership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of specialized parts buyers to ensure the correct parts are ordered within specified parameters and timelines.
- Utilize expertise to meet organizational KPIs, evaluate employee performance, hold team members accountable, and optimize departmental efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local parts vendors, managing their performance to align with our expectations and business requirements.
- Collaborate with the on-site leadership team to recruit, train, motivate, and assess the performance of all parts department staff.
- Monitor open parts orders and aging lists to effectively reduce returns and minimize unexpected costs.
