We are on the lookout for a skilled and driven Patent Agent to join our Legal team. This pivotal role involves building, managing, and protecting the company’s expanding global intellectual property portfolio across various technologies.
The Patent Agent will collaborate closely with engineering, program management, and leadership teams to identify and safeguard high-value innovations in areas such as aircraft architecture, propulsion systems, battery technology, control software, and charging infrastructure. Responsibilities will include overseeing the entire patent lifecycle—from invention disclosures and prior art assessments to drafting, prosecution, and coordination of international filings.
This role demands hands-on patent drafting and prosecution. The Agent will prepare patent applications that effectively encapsulate complex engineering concepts while aligning with BETA’s strategic goals. Prosecution will involve managing responses to office actions and maintaining ongoing communication with USPTO examiners.
