About the job
Are you an expert in pathogen assays interested in contributing to the advancement of artificial intelligence? As large-scale language models transition from simple chatbots to robust scientific tools, your specialized knowledge can help harness high-quality training data that empowers AI to revolutionize education, improve laboratory diagnostics, and expedite infectious disease research across the globe. Your expertise is essential for shaping the next generation of AI.
We seek professionals who have extensive experience in pathogen detection assays, molecular diagnostics, immunoassays, culture-based methodologies, biosafety protocols, assay validation, and clinical microbiology. You will be tasked with challenging advanced language models on topics such as PCR, qPCR, ELISA, lateral flow assays, antigen and antibody testing, sensitivity and specificity analysis, multiplexing, quality controls, and troubleshooting assays — meticulously documenting each failure mode to enhance model reasoning.
Your daily responsibilities will include engaging with the model on realistic laboratory scenarios and theoretical assay design queries, verifying factual accuracy and workflow logic, capturing reproducible error traces, and proposing enhancements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
A PhD in microbiology, molecular biology, biomedical sciences, or a related life science field is preferred. Peer-reviewed publications, hands-on experience in developing or diagnosing pathogen assays, and familiarity with CLIA, CAP, or ISO standards will demonstrate your suitability for this role. Excellent, clear communication skills—specifically, the ability to articulate your reasoning process—are vital.
Are you ready to leverage your pathogen assay expertise to contribute to the educational foundation for tomorrow’s AI? Apply now and start shaping the model that will educate the world.
