Join our Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (2A) as a Patient Care Technician!
Full-time position with day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, including rotating weekends every other week.
The Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (2A) is a 26-bed facility focused on delivering exceptional treatment and care to adult patients experiencing acute medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions, with a particular emphasis on complex surgeries.
Our diverse patient population includes, but is not limited to, those undergoing esophagectomies, Whipple procedures, surgical oncology cases, high-volume liposuction, multi-level spinal fusions, and various vascular surgeries. This unit also accommodates medical step-down and overflow patients to support efficient hospital throughput.
Patient care in the 2A unit is primarily delivered by registered nurses, maintaining an ideal nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 for step-down care.
