We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to manage all garnishment activities and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. In this role, you will also oversee payroll tax processes, including reconciling vendor returns and managing tax notices. This position reports directly to the Payroll Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and process garnishment orders, including child support, levies, and bankruptcies.
- Respond to garnishment inquiries from employees and creditors.
- Communicate relevant changes to employees, courts, and creditors.
- Submit weekly garnishment and tax files to payroll vendors for processing.
- Reconcile weekly garnishment payments with vendor reports.
- Manage tax adjustments for reporting discrepancies and communicate with vendors regarding amended returns.
- Research and respond to tax notices.
- Update payroll system with state and local tax tables.
- Approve changes related to tax adjustments.
- Reconcile tax returns on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Assist with W2 processing and corrections.
- Support payroll tax projects impacting employee tax information.
- Process payroll biweekly.
- Conduct monthly Bureau of Labor statistical reporting and quarterly Multiple Worksite Reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
