We are seeking a dedicated Payroll and HR Specialist to manage payroll processing for our multiple locations, including the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica, while providing support to employees in both regions. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our Finance, Accounting, and Payroll teams. This role is vital in supporting the entire employee lifecycle by implementing innovative approaches, policies, and procedures aimed at continuously enhancing the efficiency of HR and payroll functions, as well as benefits and compensation administration. As the primary point of contact for local payroll service providers in each region, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure precise recording and reporting of all employee hours (hourly and salaried), PTO, leaves, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll-related items to the payroll vendor.
Responsible for reconciling payroll calculations from service providers to ensure accuracy and submit for final approvals.
Process additional payrolls outside of regular cycles for retroactive payments, bonuses, missed hours, and other payment types.
Conduct analysis and audits of payroll data, addressing any discrepancies and making recommendations to enhance business efficiency.
Ensure payroll files are managed securely and handled with confidentiality.
Assist in the new hire process to ensure all procedures are completed for onboarding assigned hires.
Facilitate the termination process, ensuring all procedures are followed appropriately.
Generate various reports from the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
Administer a variety of employee benefits plans, including enrollments, changes, and deductions.
Perform general administrative tasks such as copying, bulk mailings, check requests, filing documents, and other assigned duties.
Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and stakeholders regarding policies and procedures as needed.
