About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to oversee the comprehensive payroll function for our Australian operations, which support approximately 350 employees. This full-time role also offers the flexibility of a 4-day work week. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll processes while leading key projects, including the transition to Pay Day Super and the implementation of a new payroll system.
Reporting directly to the HR Manager and closely collaborating with the Finance team, you will manage the entire payroll cycle in partnership with our outsourced provider, ensuring timely and accurate payments for all team members, fully compliant with Australian legislation.
Your Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for 350 employees, ensuring complete accuracy.
Guarantee compliance with Australian payroll legislation, including taxation, record-keeping, Pay Day Super implementation, and monthly/annual State-based Payroll Tax submissions.
Lead the selection and rollout of a new payroll system, managing data migration, process design, and maintaining data integrity within the HRIS (Hibob).
Manage leave liabilities and financial reporting by reconciling entitlements, calculating State-based Long Service Leave, and providing data for FBT and workers' compensation renewals.
Support the entire employee lifecycle by administering employment contracts, onboarding documentation, salary adjustments, and internal transfers in collaboration with the HR team.
Deliver analytical insights by maintaining HR metrics related to trends, exit data, and operational reports.
