Qualifications
Collaborate with hiring managers and external recruiters to oversee the complete hiring process, from role definition to interview scheduling, candidate communication, and offer management.Develop and implement the onboarding process for new hires, working with department leaders to ensure employees acclimate swiftly and feel connected from their first day.Manage Caruso's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resource Information System (HRIS), ensuring data integrity, efficient workflows, and accurate reporting.Oversee the annual performance review process, including goal-setting frameworks, review cycles, and alignment with managers.Design and implement employee-focused initiatives that foster engagement, retention, and well-being across our growing, multi-office company.Cultivate and safeguard Caruso's culture as we scale, ensuring that our values are actively practiced and not just displayed.Organize and coordinate team events, offsites, and traditions that unite employees across Auckland, Sydney, and remote locations.Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees regarding employment matters, policies, and best practices.Establish foundational HR policies and procedures tailored to a high-growth environment, ensuring sufficient structure for scalability without excessive bureaucracy.

Role Summary
As Caruso continues to grow, so does our team. Until now, our people operations have been overseen by the leadership team. We are seeking our first dedicated People & Culture Partner to take ownership of this function from recruitment coordination and onboarding to performance management, employee engagement, and the overall employee experience at Caruso.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be pivotal in ensuring Caruso attracts top talent, facilitates effective onboarding, retains exceptional employees, and cultivates a scalable company culture. This is a hands-on generalist role that offers significant ownership; you will not inherit a playbook but will create one.
