Position Overview:
The Instructional Aide plays a crucial role in assisting the Teacher with classroom activities and fostering positive behaviors in both academics and extracurricular settings. This position involves ensuring student safety and promoting a positive school environment. The Aide will support the School Leader and Teachers in executing their duties according to the guiding philosophies and policies of ACCEL Schools, the school’s governing board, the State Board of Education, and all relevant laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Teacher in delivering lessons to individual students or small groups while adhering to instructional plans.
- Help in planning classroom activities under the Teacher's guidance and support all student and parent interactions.
- Participate in school events such as parent-faculty nights, faculty meetings, assemblies, commencement exercises, and fundraising activities.
- Perform clerical tasks, including grading papers and making copies.
- Support the Teacher in effectively utilizing classroom technology.
