Join CROSSMARK as a dedicated Pet Nutrition Specialist where you will play a key role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for product merchandising, stocking shelves, ensuring cleanliness, and providing top-notch customer service as part of a collaborative ALDI team.
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00 | Year 3 - $19.50 | Year 4 - $19.50 | Year 5 - $20.50
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Exemplify the ALDI Acts competencies and professional skills required for this role.
- Process customer purchases while maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and assist shoppers with their needs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain clear communication with store management.
- Provide valuable feedback on products, inventory issues, and customer interactions.
- Participate in regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
- Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses.
- Adhere to all company policies and uphold the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stock merchandise and lift products weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
- Must be able to perform tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong commitment to providing courteous customer service.
- Proficient in operating a cash register accurately.
- Ability to safely use equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
- Experience with general cleaning tasks according to company standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
