About the job
- Conduct therapeutic interventions for patients under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. This includes administering modality treatments, facilitating therapeutic exercises, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and wound care.
- Maintain accurate medical records by documenting patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Communicate patient status to physicians and healthcare staff; assess range of motion, strength, and vital signs when necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on the use of assistive devices and home exercise techniques.
- Provide mentorship to Physical Therapist Assistant students and technicians.
- Support quality assurance initiatives as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in physical therapy principles, techniques, and concepts.
