About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become part of our patient-centered outpatient orthopedic clinic. In this role, you will assist in rehabilitation and recovery by providing effective treatment under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Your Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy interventions as per the treatment plan established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Conduct treatments within the PTA’s scope of practice, including therapeutic exercises, functional training, neuromuscular re-education, and orthopedic-focused interventions.
- Track patient progress and relay clinical observations or changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Guide patients on home exercise routines, safe movement techniques, and equipment usage as necessary.
- Accurately document treatments and patient responses in the EMR, adhering to clinic policies and payer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with New Jersey practice regulations, APTA ethical standards, and Medicare/private insurance documentation protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to clinic initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduated from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Possess an active New Jersey PTA license (or be eligible).
- Hold a current CPR certification.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach.
- Be reliable, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining high professional standards.
