Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $70,000–$85,000/year + full benefits
Position Overview
Join our dynamic outpatient orthopedic clinic as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), where we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional, individualized patient care. In this pivotal role, you will assist in patient recovery by providing skilled treatments under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Key Responsibilities
- Implement skilled physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, adhering to established care plans
- Manage caseload effectively, prioritizing quality, safety, and measurable patient outcomes
- Administer treatments within the PTA scope of practice, including therapeutic exercise, functional training, neuromuscular re-education, balance and gait training, and permitted manual techniques
- Meticulously document treatments, patient responses, and progress in the EMR, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and payer requirements
- Communicate patient status, progress, and any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist promptly and professionally
- Educate patients on exercises, activities, and equipment usage to foster safe functional independence
- Adhere to New Jersey practice regulations, APTA ethical standards, and Medicare/private insurance documentation guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment
- Engage in team meetings, quality improvement projects, and community outreach initiatives as necessary
- Contribute to a respectful, patient-centered clinic culture

Requirements
- Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active New Jersey PTA license (or eligibility pending)
