Job Summary: As a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) at OAC, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive care to rheumatology patients, starting from initial consultations to ongoing assessments throughout their clinical journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with supervising Physicians to order and interpret diagnostic tests, counsel patients on preventive measures, conduct thorough physical examinations, and prescribe appropriate treatments for rheumatology patients.
- Enhance practice effectiveness by identifying immediate and long-term patient care needs, providing relevant insights, and proposing solutions and treatment plans.
- Evaluate patient health status through interviews, physical assessments, and review of medical histories.
- Diagnose medical conditions by performing or ordering tests, such as x-rays and lab studies, and interpreting the results.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of patient care in records.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including joint injections and aspirations.
- Guide and educate patients on their treatment plans and procedures.
- Ensure continuity of care by developing and executing patient management strategies.
- Uphold a safe and hygienic work environment by adhering to established protocols, rules, and regulations.
