Qualifications
RequirementsOperations & Continuous ImprovementYou will write and maintain operational guidelines in collaboration with operators, translating pilot plant experiences into large-scale industrial applications. You will establish and maintain a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) list and contribute to predictive maintenance strategies for critical components such as sensors, pumps, and filters.Engineering and MaintenanceYour tasks will include developing and maintaining design documentation (e.g., PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets) and evaluating and selecting various types of process equipment. You will guide and execute the commissioning of new systems and equipment, establish a drain plan, and ensure system safety prior to maintenance. Additionally, you will design and specify process equipment for the pilot plant and contribute to the design and advancement of Plant Alberta based on operational experience.Data Analysis & ModelingYou will analyze and visualize system and process performance, making proposals for performance enhancements based on data insights. You will assist in structuring and processing data from different process units, collaborating on the development of analytical tools to creatively solve structural issues. In partnership with our research and engineering team, you will conduct literature reviews to address problems or identify potential improvements, set up and execute simulation studies for individual process units and system behavior, and perform data regression of the pilot plant in models.
About the job
At CO2 CleanUp, we are pioneering innovative Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology that effectively extracts CO₂ from the atmosphere and transforms it electrochemically into pure CO₂ for reuse or storage.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pilot Plant Engineer to join our CO2 Team, playing a pivotal role in our operations. You will be integral to both the operational team of the pilot installation and the engineering link to our first large-scale facility. Your responsibilities will include supporting operational activities in our Pilot Plant, assisting in the development of test plans, analyzing and reporting test results, troubleshooting disruptions, and identifying and proposing improvements.
Your role will encompass various aspects, with areas of focus evolving over time.
