Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Litigation Assistant to enhance our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the law firm, providing vital administrative support to our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute administrative tasks including scheduling hearings, managing case files, and coordinating logistics.
- Maintain organized pleadings and discovery indexes.
- Systematically arrange exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
- Develop and refine administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Gather, review, and organize evidence and legal documents for attorney assessment and case preparation.
- Draft and proofread legal documents and correspondence, such as pleadings and contracts.
- Conduct research on regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist in the preparation of reports and legal advice.
- Manage client billing processes by preparing, finalizing, and sending invoices while collaborating with the billing attorney to resolve any issues.
- Facilitate communication with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions.
- Organize and maintain both physical and electronic document filing systems.
- Perform additional related duties as required to fulfill business needs.
