As the Plant Logistics Lead at O-I, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing all facets of warehouse management and transport logistics. Your leadership will ensure seamless coordination and regulatory compliance within our warehouse and distribution operations.
You will serve as the primary contact and contract manager for our third-party logistics providers (3PLs), ensuring that all logistics operations align with O-I’s high standards.
Your responsibilities will include the management of incoming packaging components, the storage of finished goods, and the collection of empty returnable packaging from clients. Specific duties encompass:
- Enforcing compliance with O-I’s Health and Safety policies and site quality standards.
- Monitoring 3PL service performance against established KPIs.
- Supporting a continuous operational schedule, leading a team of over 50 to meet contractual obligations.
- Collaborating with 3PL providers to create and implement performance improvement action plans.
- Aligning logistics operations with business demands, emphasizing continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
- Managing and reviewing the logistics Profit and Loss statement (P&L).
- Working cross-functionally with various departments to ensure service excellence.
- Formulating and executing maintenance plans for warehouse and on-site logistics facilities.
This position also involves managing 3PL services at external warehouses, requiring occasional travel to these sites and customer locations for packaging assessments.
