Our innovative, vision-driven platform integrates autonomous drones with existing equipment to gather real-time data, effectively digitizing traditional workflows that have long been marked by manual errors. This advancement empowers facilities to operate with greater intelligence, safety, and efficiency, ultimately redefining the standards of 'on-time, in full' delivery.
If you are eager to contribute to groundbreaking technology and make a meaningful impact in a crucial industry, Gather AI is the perfect place for you. Join us as we lead the transformation in the rapidly advancing robotics sector, reshaping the global supply chain, one intelligent warehouse at a time.
About the Autonomy Team
Our Autonomy team operates at the cutting edge of real-world robotics, designing and implementing systems that navigate, perceive, and act within complex and uncontrolled warehouse environments. The team encompasses areas such as drone autonomy, perception, and MHE Vision, working across various active product lines with live deployments at customer sites. With a small, experienced group, your contributions will be highly visible, and you will tackle the most challenging and impactful problems.
About the Role
- Architectural Ownership: Integrate decisions across backend, frontend, platform, and infrastructure into a cohesive, enterprise-grade architecture.
- Excellence in Execution: Move beyond reactive problem-solving to predictable execution by addressing scalability and reliability challenges, safely upgrading critical infrastructure, and minimizing single-threaded dependencies.
- Setting Standards: Establish benchmarks for engineering technical hygiene by influencing testing strategies, validation guardrails, and system design considerations that directly enhance delivery speed and maintainability.
- System Evolution: Modernize and scale existing production systems using database-level strategies (like schema evolution and replication trade-offs) and platform primitives (such as orchestration and runtime constraints).
- Mentorship: Elevate the engineering organization by creating shared practices, aligning terminology, and mentoring senior talent across the team.
- First-Principles Thinking: Develop a comprehensive understanding of data systems, latency-sensitive services, and potential failure modes.
