Your Role and Impact
As a Platform Engineer specializing in Reliability within our Developer Enablement domain, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our platform remains unconditionally reliable—an essential promise to our merchants. You will help eliminate downtime that erodes trust and incurs costs, directly contributing to our mission.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and promoting resilience patterns such as Feature Flags, Circuit Breakers, and graceful degradation.
- Advocating for production readiness by establishing technical guidelines and automating sustainable practices.
- Collaborating with teams to instill best practices for observability, resilience, and operational excellence.
- Conducting monthly workshops on Site Reliability Engineering principles and creating reliability bulletins to address engineering challenges.
- Facilitating safer release procedures such as blue-green deployments and canary releases.
- Identifying and promoting solutions to streamline production service management and enhance developer tools.
