Job Summary
Join our dedicated team at Prestage Foods as a Pork Production Trainer in the Cut Floor area of our pork production line. This role involves executing repetitive tasks that may include the use of knives and machinery. As a trainer, you will be instrumental in understanding and performing various jobs within your designated area, onboarding new employees, and coordinating their introduction to area supervisors. You will also participate in ongoing training, both on-site and off-site. Please note that the work environment maintains consistent cold temperature conditions of 41 degrees Fahrenheit, and adherence to safety protocols and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tasks in areas where pork is fabricated, handling raw meat safely.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, utilizing tools such as knives and saws.
- Operate machinery and equipment as needed.
- Adapt to different workstations based on production and supervisory requirements.
- Foster and maintain internal and external relationships.
- Exhibit exceptional attendance and punctuality.
- Track and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and scorecards to promote continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with USDA regulations, HACCP, SSOP, SOP, GMP, and SQF program quality and safety standards.
- Champion a strong safety culture in operations, including adherence to PPE, reporting unsafe acts and conditions, and following Lockout-Tag out procedures.
