The Poultry Processing Planning Manager will lead the strategic planning and scheduling for our poultry processing plant, ensuring optimal order fulfillment, efficient material movement, and timely delivery while adhering to quality standards aligned with company objectives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive master planning for production activities, addressing capacity constraints including equipment, workforce, raw materials, and consumables to fulfill sales forecasts and customer orders while ensuring safety and quality.
- Optimize order fulfillment and on-time delivery by collaborating with sales and demand planners to minimize operational imbalances, identify challenges, and develop actionable recommendations through root cause analysis.
- Monitor market demand and coordinate production planning with upstream supply from broiler farms, managing bird allocation efficiently to maintain product quality.
- Work alongside the Production Manager to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance by coordinating closely with engineering teams.
- Engage with FP&A for cost-effective assessments, collaborate with Marketing for efficient inventory management, and partner with HR to foster learning and growth initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with upstream broiler suppliers to reduce quality defects and ensure uniformity in poultry products.
- Oversee production scheduling to maximize workforce efficiency while balancing the costs associated with overtime against production targets.
- Continuously assess and analyze customer requirements and supplier performance to enhance satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Drive improvements in production planning and control processes to ensure a streamlined, lean operation that optimizes profitability.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
